Standard SIM cards provide just a few dozen kilobytes of storage, adequate for a handful of simple applications and personal data, but little else. With the expanded storage capacity in HD-SIMs, operators can offer a full portfolio of new value-added services and applications, like mobile banking and personalized services that are preloaded on the HD-SIM or pushed to your phone over the air. Users can store 1,000 times as much, keeping rich audio and media alongside their expanded personal contact list.
