UDIMM Header

When your top priorities are high speed, high reliability, high economy, and a broad offering, unbuffered DIMMs are likely the modules that fit the bill.

Speed: UDIMMs operate faster, free of the delay usually caused by buffer logic chips or registers on the module. With UDIMMs these devices are located on the motherboard instead. The speed increase comes as a tradeoff limiting the maximum number of modules on the same motherboard.

System reliability: Systems requiring high data reliability from system noise should use parity or ECC-capable memory modules. These are available both in RDIMM and UDIMM module formats. Both support a x72 bit data bus, using 8 bits for the error-correction feature.

Economy: The PC-3200 and PC2-4200 UDIMM module speeds are the industry standard for cost-effective memory systems. Micron currently ships them in high volumes. They are ideal for customers seeking a balance between economy and density.

Product range: Micron offers a great breadth of UDIMMs in a several technologies, pin counts, form factors, and speeds. Our unbuffered modules come in several densities, in many configurations, with ECC options, and in Pb-free versions.

DDR2-1066 Increases Memory Performance

DDR2 1066 Micron's DDR2-1066 memory is leading the industry with the fastest speeds for component and module devices. With a speed of 1066 Mb/s, Micron's latest devices easily meet the industry demand for increased speeds and improved bandwidth.

Micron's latest DDR2-1066 devices were designed on 78nm process technology and operate at JEDEC-standard 1.8V, so upgrading doesn't require any system redesign. The devices have been built off of 1Gb DDR2 memory, and modules range in density from 1GB-2GB. Learn more about our DDR2-1066 parts by visiting the component part catalog. For DDR2-1066 modules, see the module part catalog.
